Referrals for professionals

CBT and counselling with clear communication and collaborative planning

I welcome appropriate professional enquiries for adults seeking structured psychological therapy for anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, life transitions and complex or overlapping difficulties.

Who I work with

Suitable referrals for formulation-led CBT and counselling.

I work with adults where a structured, collaborative therapy approach is likely to be helpful and where risk, complexity and goals can be reviewed carefully.

Anxiety and panic

Worry, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety, avoidance and overthinking.

Low mood and depression

Withdrawal, self-criticism, loss of confidence, low motivation and behavioural activation work.

Stress and burnout

Workload strain, perfectionism, boundary difficulties, exhaustion and recovery planning.

Trauma and difficult experiences

Paced, trauma-informed CBT and counselling where this is clinically appropriate.

Complex overlap

Formulation-led work when mood, anxiety, stress, relationship patterns and self-esteem are hard to separate.

Specialist ADHD/addiction referrals

Where ADHD, addiction or addictive behaviours are the primary referral reason, please use the dedicated specialist site: ADHD & Addiction Therapy.

Referral process

Clear assessment, consent and collaborative working.

  1. Make an enquiry

Professionals can use the contact page to outline the referral context, presenting difficulties, risk considerations and whether the client has consented to the enquiry.

  2. Initial assessment

The first stage is a clinical assessment to understand current difficulties, goals, suitability for CBT and whether additional or alternative support may be needed.

  3. Collaborative working

Where appropriate, and only with explicit client consent, I can liaise with referrers or other professionals involved in care.

  4. Confidentiality and consent

Client confidentiality is central. Information is shared only where consent has been given, or where there are safeguarding or legal duties to act.
