Professional background

Clinical experience across mental health, counselling and CBT.

I am a dual-trained counsellor and CBT therapist, holding a Master's degree in both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling.

Alongside private therapy, I have worked extensively within mental health and substance misuse services, supporting people experiencing a wide range of emotional, relational and behavioural difficulties.

On this general-practice site, the focus is broad CBT and counselling for adults: anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-criticism and complex or overlapping presentations.

I also hold a particular specialist interest in ADHD, addiction, addictive behaviours and emotional regulation difficulties. That specialism has its own dedicated site so the general therapy pages here stay clear and distinct.

How I work

Structured, collaborative and compassionate.

Shared understanding

We build a clear map of what is happening and what keeps the difficulty going.

Practical change

CBT tools are used in a way that fits real life, rather than feeling like homework for homework's sake.

Regular review

We keep checking whether therapy is helping, what needs adapting, and what should come next.

Professional standards

BABCP-accredited, supervised, and committed to ongoing training.

As a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and BACP-registered Counsellor, I work to high professional and ethical standards. I receive regular clinical supervision, engage in ongoing training, and use approaches supported by current research.
